This photograph was taken by a member of my family on a recent holiday in France.
I cropped it to focus on the spire, the immediate buildings and some of the countryside.
The same image zoomed in and cropped. I applied a Cutout filter and smudged the results on the building. For the sky, I used the Select/colour range command followed by Edit/Paste into and pasted in a nice sky from another of my photos. I smudge painted the clouds, adding more colours with the brush for highlights.
Over the top, I added my rough painted canvas and used a soft light blending mode to hide the colour of the canvas layer leaving the canvas pattern to show through. The brickwork below the spire needs further work!
